Senators vs Juniors Challenge 2008

Junior participants: (L to R) Katrina McGovern, Vincent Barroca, Sean Gazdewich, Zachary Farrugia, Rory Mallette, Mathies Lamoureux, Alexander Farrugia, Teagen Schmalhaus, Malcolm Fava, Carolyn Chin, Mathieu Abruzzese and Matti Saloranta.

Senators: John Amyot, Bruce Groves, Sandra Hiscock, Ray Giguère, Ed Arthur, Paul Brideau, Dan Charters, Roy Houlberg, Alex Timm, Gary Hiscock, Brian Palfreeman, Dave Montgomery.

 

The total age of the dozen Juniors was 157 (an average of 53.3 per team). The Senators, as someone put it – numbers too large to comprehend!

The Senators won all three games; however, Ed Arthur did just manage to squeak out a one point victory over Rory Mallette. They were gracious victors, buying the drinks afterwards and full of compliments for the play of their opposition. Although it's been a few years since the last such event, all agreed that it should be a regular annual challenge.

Thanks to Jim Kyle for coordinating the event and for preparing a small trophy to be challenged for again next year.
